The Bank of Queensland Gold Visa credit card brings higher spending limits and puts more benefits within your reach. Packed with features and an excellent rewards program this card could be well worth your consideration.
Pros
Firstly the Q Rewards program gives you great points earning potential and enormous flexibility in how you redeem your points. Let’s face it, we all hate earning a bunch of points only to find out we have to use them on something we don’t really need or want. You get a choice of airlines with which to redeem your points (Jetstar, Virgin Australia and Qantas when you book through Take Flight), but if you’re not a traveller you can also use points for shopping vouchers. Participating stores include Bunnings, Myer, David Jones, Hoyts & Village Cinemas and more.
Aside from a fantastic rewards program, the cardholder can enjoy international travel insurance for everything from medical emergencies to lost luggage or missed flights, purchase cover insurance which covers you against loss, theft or damage of purchased items for three months and priority 24-hour customer service on a dedicated Gold Visa card enquiries line. As is fairly standard, you’ll receive the 55 day interest free period with this card.
The Q Rewards program is amongst the best. The points you earn per dollar are great and never expire meaning you don’t have to add that one more thing to your busy life schedule – remembering to redeem points before they all go to waste! The flexibility of being able to redeem accrued points with multiple airlines, or alternatively to be able to spend rewards on shopping vouchers at stores you’re actually likely to use is also a draw.
Pros
The interest rates on this card aren’t great but if you make your monthly repayments on time this won’t be an issue and will leave you simply able to enjoy the benefits of the card. There is also a $1000 daily cash advance limit through ATMs but you want to avoid cash advances anyway.
Overall, the Bank of Queensland Gold Visa credit card is an excellent card with plenty of benefits. The mid to higher income earner can earn some excellent points whilst enjoying the security and added features the card has to offer.
