If you’re starting out your Qantas frequent flyer points life, don’t plan to spend like crazy and want to get free membership into Qantas Frequent Flyer Program then the NAB Qantas Credit Card could be for you.

Pros
You can become a member of the Qantas Frequent Flyer Program for free which will save you $82.50. You can earn points at an accelerated pace for a short period of time. You can get an additional cardholder for no extra cost. NAB are trying to be fair and are willing for you to dodge paying fees if you go over your credit limit.

The ‘two cards, one account’ setup is ideal in case you have a sizeable purchase to make when you can whip out the Amex card and get the better points rate. Another positive is that the minimum income requirement is set to any weekly income meaning that this credit card offer is not out of reach for low income earners and self-employed people.

Cons
There’s a trade off in that you get free membership to Qantas but you pay an annual fee. Also, the accelerated points earning ratio is restricted on two fronts: it ends in September after which is reverts to a lower rate and secondly the points earning potential is capped at $3,000 per month.

Conclusion
All in all, the NAB Qantas Credit Card is a good frequent flyer credit card best suited for first timers to Qantas as opposed to the seasoned frequent flyer points chaser.
