About this offer
This month receive up to 30% extra Qantas Points when you transfer reward points from your credit or charge card provider to your Qantas account. If you have points in one of the following programs you can take advantage of this offer:
- American Express Membership Rewards
- Commbank Awards
- Diners Club Rewards
- Suncorp Rewards
- Woolworths Rewards
Move with haste though! You will need to transfer before 11:59pm AEST on June 30. Get the full terms & conditions of the bonus Qantas Points offer here.
While 30% extra bonus points sound amazing, that is only reserved for those among us that will be transferring 2 million Qantas Points worth of reward points or more, an amount the average Aussie frequent flyer will rarely see.
However, even at the lowest transfer bonus rate of 15% bonus Qantas Points, if you are transferring 100,000 Qantas Points worth of your cards rewards points you will get an extra 15,000 Qantas Points. For free. Did I mention I like free stuff?
That is enough points for someone to do the Melbourne to Sydney hop. Or someone living in a regional area to fly to a major airport e.g. Port Macquarie (PQQ) to Sydney (SYD). It could make all the difference between flying Economy and flying Business Class on a longer flight.
Here is how many bonus points you will earn on transfers:
- 15% more Qantas Points (Up to 500,000 Qantas Points)*
- 20% more Qantas Points (500,001 - 1,999,999 Qantas Points)*
- 30% more Qantas Points (2,000,000 Qantas Points and over)*
The boring stuff (T&Cs)
The landing page for this offer states “This offer is available to the recipient of this email only and should not be shared.” We definitely couldn’t keep an offer this good to ourselves so we needed to shout it from the rooftops (in 21st-century terms - publish it on our blog).
We all hate reading the terms and conditions of offers so we went ahead and scouted the important points for you!
It may seem like an insignificant detail but it is important to note that bonus points will be rounded up to the nearest whole Qantas Point, so don’t worry if you don’t have enough for that last whole point, Qantas is kind enough to round it up for you.
In terms of logistics, there are two ways to transfer your reward points:
- Call the number on the back of your card OR
- Visit the points transfer page of your credit or charge card provider's website.
Be patient. Transfers should only take one or two business days to get processed but please allow up to 15 days for the transfer to hit your Qantas account, under the description ‘Card Transfer Bonus’.
Keep in mind that this deal is not applicable to any Qantas cards or other credit/charge products where the Card Partner automatically transfers your reward points to Qantas Points on your behalf on a regular basis.
