Coastline Credit Union’s operations are centred on the mid north coast of New South Wales. Anyone can become a member of the credit union and apply for a credit card.
Established in 1966, Coastline Credit Union is, as the name implies, a member-owned credit union. Its head office is in Kempsey, New South Wales, with five more branches located on the New South Wales mid north coast.
Credit union structure
Credit unions in general provide most of the services available at a standard bank, with the main difference being that they are run for the benefit of their shareholder members. All profits are re-invested in the credit union rather than being paid out as dividends.
Anyone can have an account
Although the Coastline Credit Union is located on the mid north coast of New South Wales, you don’t have to live there to become a member and open an account, including a credit card account. Any Australian resident can become a member by purchasing a single $2 redeemable member share, either over-the-counter at a branch, or online.
There are six branches and 18 ATMs on the mid north coast, but you can manage your account via online banking, telephone banking and a mobile app.
