The basics

• Additional cardholders. You can add up to 4 additional cardholders for $15 each. All the account holders will be jointly responsible for managing the account and repayments.
• Digital wallets. This card supports Apple Pay, Google Pay and Samsung Pay.
• Gambling transactions. Gambling transactions are not permitted on the BOQ Blue Visa Credit Card.

Rewards and benefits

• Complimentary travel insurance. This card does not come with complimentary international travel insurance.
• Concierge services. The BOQ Blue Visa Credit Card does not offer a concierge service.
• Insurances. Cardholders get fraud protection, purchase protection insurance, and price protection insurance.
• Rewards points. The BOQ Blue Visa Credit Card offers 1 Q Rewards point for every eligible dollar spent in Australia. Points can be redeemed for flights, hotels, gift cards, and other rewards. Points are not capped and do not expire.
• Sign up bonus. Get 50,000 bonus Q Rewards points when you spend $3,500 within 3 months of approval.

Rates and fees

• Annual fee. The annual fee for this card is $89 p.a., which is quite cheap for a rewards card.
• Balance transfers. The Bank of Queensland Blue Visa Credit Card offers a 0% balance transfer for 6 months and an 80% balance transfer limit. There is a 1% fee for the balance transfer. Any remaining balance left after 18 months will revert to the standard cash advance rate.
• Cash advances. When you use your BOQ Blue Visa Credit Card for cash advances, you'll be charged interest at 21.99% p.a., starting from the day you make the withdrawal. When making a cash advance with this card, a one-off fee of 3.5% will be charged in addition to the interest rate.
• Foreign exchange fee. Purchases made online or while travelling overseas in a foreign currency will be subject to a 3.4% foreign transaction fee.
• Interest-free period. With the BOQ Blue Visa Credit Card, you can enjoy up to 44 days interest-free on purchases, excluding cash advances, when you pay off your balance on time or make the minimum required payments.
• Purchases. With no introductory offer on purchases, the ongoing interest rate of 20.99% p.a. will apply to any purchases made with the BOQ Blue Visa Credit Card.
