  • Additional cardholders. You can add up to one additional cardholder for a fee of $0. This person will be added to your account and will be able to make purchases with the card. The account holder is still responsible for managing the account.
  • Digital wallets. You can pay with this card using Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay.
  • Gambling transactions. This card does not allow gambling-related transactions.

Rewards and benefits

  • Complimentary travel insurance. The Commonwealth Bank Low Fee Gold Credit Card provides free international travel insurance for eligible cardholders. To activate the policy, the card must have been used to pay for travel costs related to your trip before you leave. Eligibility criteria apply.
  • Concierge services. The Commonwealth Bank Low Fee Gold Credit Card does not offer a concierge service.
  • Rewards points. This credit card does not have a rewards program.
  • Sign-up bonus. Commonwealth Bank Low Fee Gold Credit Card offers $250 cashback when you spend $1,000 on eligible purchases in the first 90 days.

Rates and fees

  • Annual fee. The annual fee for this card is $89, with no fee for the first year if you meet the required spend.
  • Balance transfers. The Commonwealth Bank Low Fee Gold Credit Card offers a 5.99% balance transfer rate, up to 90% of the approved credit limit for 5 months. After this promotional period ends, any remaining balances will be charged at the revert rate of 21.24%.
  • Cash advances. Cash advances with the Commonwealth Bank Low Fee Gold Credit Card are subject to a 21.24% p.a. interest rate and will be charged from the day of the advance being made. Cash advances made with this card will incur a 3% fee, plus applicable interest.
  • Foreign exchange fee. There is no foreign transaction fee when you use this card for purchases in a foreign currency.
  • Interest-free period. The Commonwealth Bank Low Fee Gold Credit Card offers up to 55 days interest-free on purchases (excluding cash advances) if you pay off your previous balance or make the minimum required payments.
  • Purchases. The Commonwealth Bank Low Fee Gold Credit Card does not come with any introductory offer on purchases. Any purchases made will be charged the ongoing interest rate of 19.74% p.a.
